Shop Supervisor Onboard Luxury Cruises
As a Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and profitable daily operations of the onboard boutiques. You will lead, train, and motivate your retail team to deliver exceptional guest service while achieving sales and performance targets. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, combined with a strong retail background in multi-category environments.
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum secondary school education with excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- At least 5 years of experience in multi-category retail (cruise ship experience is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, reporting, audits, and shrinkage control.
- Proficiency in English (B1 level); Italian and an additional language (German, Spanish, or French) at B1 are highly valued.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Computer literacy (Excel, reporting systems).
- For Italian passport holders: STCW course must be completed in Italy.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of onboard shops (apparel, watches, jewelry, cosmetics, accessories, and more).
- Ensure accurate inventory control, prepare sales reports, conduct audits, and implement loss prevention strategies.
- Lead, motivate, and train retail staff to maintain high standards of customer service and sales performance.
- Provide guests with a luxury shopping experience through personalized assistance and professional product knowledge.
- Monitor sales KPIs and contribute to achieving company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all onboard retail policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
