Incinerator Tehnician onboard a luxury cruise ship
This role is essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the ship’s waste treatment and incineration systems while maintaining compliance with international environmental standards.
Ideal Candidate
- Solid knowledge of waste segregation protocols and environmental practices.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operating or maintaining incinerators or waste treatment systems.
- Technical ability to handle mechanical and conveyor-based garbage systems.
- Familiarity with safe chemical handling, vacuum systems, and pulper operations.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work in confined spaces and dynamic environments
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain incinerators, ash vacuum transport systems, shredders, conveyors, and waste packaging equipment.
- Ensure effective waste segregation, processing, and disposal of glass, metal, aluminum, and other materials.
- Oversee the cleanliness and proper functioning of the incinerator room, cold storage, and pulper systems.
- Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs to guarantee safe and efficient machinery operations.
- Comply with shipboard safety protocols and environmental procedures at all times
