Foreman
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Foreman to join onboard a luxury cruise ship. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the maintenance and repair activities to ensure the vessel operates smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise maintenance and repair work, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage a team of skilled technicians and support staff.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to guest services.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and inventory.
Ideal Candidate
Educational Requirements (incl. License requirements)
- High School Degree Professional Experience
- Good technical and mechanical skills at least two-year experience on a cruise vessels.
- Full commitment and understanding of safety and environmental procedures.
Professional Skills
- Good communications skills
- High degree on environmental and safety understanding
- Training or apprenticeship at marine engineering
Certification
- BST, PSCRB, SSD, PASSANGER SHIP, IGF Basic Certificate, Certificate of Profiency
