Ship Nurse Job – Luxury Cruise Ships
Job Description
As a Registered Nurse (RN) onboard a luxury cruise ship, you will provide professional medical services to guests and crew, ensuring the highest standards of healthcare, outbreak prevention, and safety compliance. You will support the ship’s Doctors and Chief Nurse in daily operations, emergency situations, and health monitoring, contributing to a safe and efficient medical environment at sea.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to guests and crew in minor and major medical emergencies.
- Perform patient triage, monitor vital signs, and report critical cases to the Doctor.
- Assist in maintaining medical records, pharmaceutical inventory, and medical equipment.
- Support outbreak prevention, public health reporting, and infection control measures.
- Conduct water testing, participate in safety drills, and manage first-aid supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical information and comply with company medical protocols.
- Assist in evacuations, emergency drills, and crew medical training.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school/university.
- Registered Nurse license, valid for entire contract period.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent clinical experience in ER, ICU, Cardiac Critical Care, or Trauma.
- Valid certifications: ACLS & BLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support with renewal of Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (renewable every 2 years).
- Complete chronology of medical activities since graduation.
- Languages: Advanced English communication skills (verbal & written).
