Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the culinary team in preparing a variety of cuisines, ensuring high-quality standards and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee the creation and execution of recipes, a la minute food presentations, and buffet set-ups.
- Maintain strategic planning and resource allocation for efficient kitchen operations.
- Provide personalized services, incorporating needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, and guest satisfaction evaluations.
- Implement and adhere to policies and practices involved in the human resources function.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ experience as a Cook Tournant/Sous Chef in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
- Culinary school degree required.
- Strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution principles and processes.
- Proficiency in computer software such as Excel and Word, with the ability to navigate various internet applications.
