2nd Officer for Cruise Ships
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled 2nd Officer to join aboard one of our world-class cruise ships. This is an exceptional opportunity to advance your maritime career while traveling to breathtaking destinations and working with a diverse, professional crew.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the safe navigation and operation of the vessel under the supervision of senior officers.
- Oversee deck operations, ensuring adherence to maritime regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety drills, inspections, and onboard training as per SOLAS requirements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate navigational and operational logs.
- Supervise loading and unloading operations, ensuring cargo safety and efficiency.
- Support emergency response initiatives and onboard security protocols.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 2 years in a similar or higher role on cruise ships (not expedition or river vessels).
- Certification: Holder of an IMO Certificate, Regulation IMO II/2 Chief Mate license.
- STCW Certificates: Valid and up-to-date.
- English Proficiency: Advanced (spoken and written).
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience as a 2nd Deck Officer or higher is a plus.
